Preface - What is Heaven to Earth, I Ching
In the alternative, Shao Yung (1011-1077) developed a sequential arrangement of the hexagrams that still remains a mystery. However around 1980, I began a modern adaptation of his arrangement that I call the Change Cycle complete with new ideas. The bedrock of the Heaven to Earth interpretation of the I Ching is the Change Cycle. Heaven to Earth, I Ching begins with developing and recording a good question. A good question creates the ability to use insights for better decisions at opportune times. When one of the 64 hexagrams responds to your question, its guidance is applied to the circumstances to harmonize yourself with your environment. Any goal can be framed by a question, whereas yes-no questions create little understanding on how to achieve a fit outcome. Heaven to Earth, I Ching provides tips to draw out your question. Your question should mirror real world people, events, and attitudes because each may participate in the response. The Change Cycle unifies the response with what matters. Contact: 503.269.4263 -
