What Makes Heaven to Earth, I Ching Different? - Using Companion Editions

Switch to Heaven to Earth, I Ching because its concepts are compatible with all I Ching translations while theirs are outdated.  What will amaze you is the new depth of knowledge found by applying the Change Cycle to your readings.  With renewed enthusiasm, you will not be disappointed.

For the newcomer, this is an ideal place to begin your I Ching journey.  There are those times when change is happening and advice is wanted, so set aside a moment and consult Heaven to Earth, I Ching.  Use the guidance found in the hexagrams.  Use different books because of the wide perspectives that various I Ching authors offer.  When change is not happening, your I Ching use will dwindle.  But like a trusted friend, Heaven to Earth, I Ching will await your return.

Heaven to Earth, I Ching spotlights hexagram text written by R. L. Wing.

All translations of the I Ching are usable with Heaven to Earth techniques.  Keep in mind that existing I Ching books typically order their hexagrams in the King Wen traditional arrangement (t) and not in the Change Cycle order (c), so you will need to crosswalk between the two arrangements (see Master Map).  That task is not necessary in Heaven to Earth, I Ching.  I encourage the use of companion editions, but don't derail because two numbers refer to the same hexagram.

I was granted permission to use R.L. Wing text presented in Change Cycle order.

First, I have used this text with clients in hundreds of readings and believe it to be the best.  Second, the text shows a natural compatibility between Heaven to Earth and the I Ching.  You will find your own stunning examples as you become familiar with the text.  I deeply thank R.L. Wing for its use.

I also reference the Wilhelm-Baynes edition of the I Ching (Bollingen Series XIX, Princeton University Press, 1978).  For some people, its archaic imagery can be offensive while others see it as priceless writing that peeps into a remote culture somehow connected to our own state of being.
